What our customer saying?

We measure our success not in dollars raised, but in actual lives changed. These stories are a testament to the difference that communities can make when we come together to create lasting change.

"I am thrilled to be a part of launching Dolly Parton's Imagination Library and being able to send free books to kids in Benton and Franklin Counties. Literacy is important for so many different things. It's the first step of being able to be successful in school. Every time we take a car ride, we need to be able to read the signs. Every job we do requires us to read. It's how kids develop their confidence in navigating this whole world we've got. And for me, literacy is love. It's that simple. Literacy is love and all of us need that. All of our kids need that, and this program helps deliver that."

“ I never really thought I would serve for a program that cares so much for the community... this doesn't feel like a job to me, it feels like its literally part of my life. If I could do this for the rest of my life, I really would."

" Heartlinks is a team of 65 individuals made up of nurses, social workers, chaplains and we have just seen some significant growth in the last couple of years and we’re excited to be able to keep serving our community in this fashion and honored to keep this going on 14 year tradition of providing this pediatric palliative care alive and we’re just honored to be able to support and care for our community. United way has continually supported Heartlinks since we were founded with a community grant. We get to see a significant expansion in our pediatric palliative care. With United Way's support, we hope to be able to grow even more in the next 2 years and reach more children."
